7. The International Olympic Committee extended North Korea's deadline to enter the Games. So far, only two figure skaters have secured a spot in the Olympics.

8. Iran is reconsidering its cooperation with the UN nuclear watchdog. Iran will make the decision after Trump decides in mid-January whether or not to follow the 2015 nuclear accord.

9. France's consumer fraud watchdog is investigating Apple. Under French law, companies risk fines of up to 5% of annual sales for shortening the life of their products to encourage replacement.

10. A former Google engineer is suing Google for political and gender discrimination. The engineer was fired last year for posting a manifesto about women being less interested in tech because of biology.
